I Want To Be In The Fashion Industry But I Have No Clue Where To Begin. How Can I Start?

What are my choices in the fashion industry other then a fashion designer, which I wish I could be but I have no clue on how to sew or draw. Where can I start and work my way up to……Please help! I am 20 and I want to get on the get go. I am not in a fashion school or anything. Because I wanted to be a lawyer but I noticed that I really want to be in the fashion world. I love fashion and I am always into the new fashion.

What Team In Your Favorite Teams Division/confrence To You Respect The Most?

In the Big Ten, my team is Michigan, and I most respect Penn State. They always bring a good team to the table and win with pride and confidence. Joe Paterno is also a living legend.
In the AFC West, my team is the Chargers and I would probably pick the Chiefs. It’s not a very classy division, including the Chargers, but the Chief fans are not very cocky, at least the Chief fans that I know personally.

How To Get Ahead In The Fashion Industry?

I know dozens of people have said this before me, but I’m extremely intent on becoming a fashion designer. I’m currently thirteen years old (freshman in high school). Drawing comes extremely naturally to me (I’m taking AP studio art right now), and I don’t think that will be a problem. I’ve also started to make my own clothes and stuff; I know everyone says “just learn to sew and learn to draw” — is there anything else I can do? I’ve already written to a few designers, and I’m planning on doing an internship with one of them this summer. I’ve already started looking at schools as well, Parson’s being my number one choice.
Actually, one of my main problems right now is my parents. They’re both very traditional ASIAN parents, who are very disappointed that I don’t want to do something “meaningful” with my life and they think I’m wasting my high school education (I go to a VERY expensive private school). How can I convince them that this is a good thing?

Honestly, I have absolutely no sense of fashion sense. I don’t know what guys are wearing lately, and what are the in-fashion clothes. So if anyone can tell me what jeans or for that matter any other kind of clothes are particularly trendy or in fashion now, I’d appreciate it. I may decide it’s not a good fit for me, but I’d like to be better informed rather than wearing the same clothes I’ve worn for years.
