What Disciplinary Actions Do You Use With Your Children That Are Most Effective?

We have 3 girls. 8, 5, and 13 months old.
My kids are good kids, i have been told by strangers on more than one occasion that my children are well behaved. And they are in the publics eye. But behind closed doors my older two just bicker and go at it over the silliest of things.
So i’m just wondering if you have an specific punishment in your house that works wonders?
