Sorry that things have been kind of slow around here. I spent the weekend trying to shake off my cold and I think I finally may have gotten rid of it, but yesterday and Friday were definitely lazy sick days for me. It rained outside and I didn’t do too much besides go out for dinner with some friends on Friday to a Pho restaurant in the magical Buford Highway area of Atlanta and then go to the farmers market yesterday with Drew. We also went to my favorite antique store, and I was so out of it that I couldn’t walk straight or get too interested in vintage clothes. But then today the sun came out and it was almost warm, and I was feeling so much better. Even blog photos were fun today–we walked around another fancy street in the Prado and admired pretty houses and made fun of tacky ones (with big yellow Hummers parked in the driveway!).
Here is that ’70s dress that I wore to our dinner party a few weeks back. Seeing photos of it and its weird padded sleeves only makes me like it more–I wonder why I ever thought of selling it? I got this duffle coat on Etsy this week too . . . from the looks of it I don’t think it’s very old, and I would have rather have one in navy or black, but this one still does the trick. Anja said something about winter not being so bad because of her coat collection, and I have to agree; it’s amazing how a new-old coat can make me excited about my winter clothes again.
