It's pretty casual here as well.

The fashion depends on many things, like where in Minnesota you are. If you're in downtown Minneapolis, especially during the weekday, most people are dressed up nice for work. Otherwise in the suburbs it's usually casual. Jeans and a sweatshirt or a nice top. Now that it's getting colder a lot of people are in their fall jackets. In richer areas like Wayzata (used to work there), people tend to dress a little nicer and they're always carrying their designer handbags, at least the women anyway lol.

The closer you are to downtown, the trendier it gets. And then you have areas like Uptown where it's very hipster. Take that for what you will. Certain areas attract certain kinds of people.

I think the fashion is pretty similar between the two states. I haven't been to Colorado in a while, but my aunt lives there and she dresses casual outside of work.

Go to YELP or Craigslist and re post on their message boards there from your city. Maybe even repost this question on YA under Travel, scroll down to Minnesota & Colorado.

This is YAHOO, it's a wide world web and many have not even been to Minnesota or Colorado or KNOW WHERE Minnesota or Colorado is.

:l To tell the truth, fashion to me is everyone's own concept of beauty expressed through clothes. It's what they think looks good. I have a twin, and we're both very different. She always buys things that are similar to what other people are wearing, while I just pick out whatever I think looks good to me. She's really embarrassed by what I wear xD . I guess the people who are what you consider "Barbies" actually just want to feel safe and not stand out, though they don't realize that people shouldn't not like them just because of their clothes. Personally, in my high school, all of the girls wear either those black mini skirts, black yoga pants, or really tight skinny jeans. They're simply scared of being different, and that's the way most people in the world work, unless you understand that you can be whoever you want to be (Haha, that's almost a Barbie commercial quote, quite ironic!).

Fashion is for a reason that isn't "because it's in right now". the barbies only reason for something is "because it's so in". Fashion is temporary, but style is forever. These "barbies" only have "fashion"

Fashion is following trends, but putting your own spin to it. "Mindless Barbies'" (haha I like that!) just follow trends without any of their own personal style.

The big four Spring/Summer 2012 fashion shows doesn't show until September. Starting with New York and ending in Paris. A good lot of those fashion shows are by invitation, only. But it's been known that you can sneak your way in if you do look like an ultra chic fashion blogger.

I normally use Style.com to watch fashion shows and for fashion-related stuff.
I subscribe to style.com, fashionTV, fatalefashion, erichben, michelle pierro, luciano burgos etc, etc. on youtube. I'm not sure which of these accounts have been suspended, but if you don't find some of these channels, then they are most likely suspended. boo.
